Salary: NJC Grade D: £26,824 - £28,598 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked) 

Please note that the pro-rata salary for this role is between £11,175 (D8) and £11,914 (D12) gross per annum (subject to change depending on agreed working pattern on appointment)

Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 18 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Wednesday to Friday.

Holywell C of E Primary School are seeking a highly organised Lead Administrator to join our school office team. 

About the Role 

This is a key role supporting pupils, staff, families and visitors, and contributing to the smooth, effective running of the school. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

General administration such as:

  • Managing incoming post, phone calls and emails and distributing as appropriate 

  • Manage the school's Income Collection System 

  • Ensure necessary permission forms are recorded and updated as required for every child 

  • Acting as personal assistant to the Head Teacher by assisting the Head Teacher in responding to emails and letters in a timely manner and producing minutes as required.  

  • Produce the School Census three times a year.  

Within this role there are also finance, premises and lettings, human resources, and admissions and attendance administration duties.

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills 

  • Confident using a range of IT and school systems (or keen to learn)  

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and face-to-face 

  • Enthusiastic about working in a school environment and supporting children’s learning 

  • Can work with flexibility, positivity and calmness under pressure 

  • Ability to use their own initiative while being a supportive member of a small, dedicated team
